Sustainability and Community: The Success in the Management of the Tosepan Kali Cooperative in the Pueblo Mágico of Cuetzalan, Puebla

Tosepan Kali is a cooperative that promotes sustainable tourism and economic development in Cuetzalan, Puebla, working closely with indigenous communities to preserve their culture and natural environment. The cooperative stands out for its training and empowerment programs, which provide the local population with education in hospitality and tourism, enabling residents to access employment opportunities in the sector. Additionally, it encourages active community participation in decision-making and the management of tourism projects. This research examines the impact of Tosepan Kali on local development in Cuetzalan, employing quantitative and qualitative methods to assess the perspectives of the cooperative's leader, administrator, and staff members. The study concludes that Tosepan Kali’s management has been fundamental to local development, emphasizing sustainability, community empowerment, and cultural and environmental preservation. Its initiatives have generated a positive impact on the community, contributing to economic growth and the overall well-being of its inhabitants.
